Prayer

Good Morning to all of my friends out there in cyber land.  This is Silver Streak coming to you from the third oasis from the right.  I have been out feeding the camels and making sure that they have enough for the night.  Now is my time to put down the words that my heavenly father has given me, during the day.  

Prayer.....this is a subject that a lot of people don't want to talk about.  It is a subject that can cause confusion.  But I believe that you will understand it better by the time I get finished typing this note.  

What is prayer?  Prayer is conversation with.....who?  God!   But some people will tell you that ..1. he doesn't exist.   2.  he doesn't hear you.  3.  he is too busy somewhere else.  I can tell you that he exists and he is never too busy to hear you call him and his line is never busy.  No computer voice telling you to leave a message...that may or may not be returned.  His line is always free.  He is waiting to talk with you.  That is what prayer is conversation.  You talking to God and him talking to you.  He can talk to you in several different ways.  Remember his line is never busy. 

Think about this...How much time do you spend talking and listening to God?  

1 Chronicles 16:11 says "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."

So brothers, remember to talk with God daily, listen for his voice.  Look for his advice in his word.  Remember that time that you felt you couldn't go on, he heard and carried you to the end.  He also accepts "knee" mail.

Dear Father, thank you for the peace we receive when we come to you in prayer, Amen.
